Tedbrakes Patented!!
After 3 1/2 Years, the documentation has all been finalized to make Tedbrakes a fully patented invention ready for use in the United States (patent #8083020B2 issued December 27th 2011). This is a huge step towards putting Tedbrakes on commercially available zero turn lawn mowers. The next step is to let the manufacturers know that front brakes on a zero turn mower is something that customers in the industry expect on their mowers, and start implementing them as soon as possible.

"For unknown reasons, the man and the large commercial riding mower both fell 12 feet over an embankment near a Cranberry Creek tunnel. The mower landed on top of the man. He was taken to a local hospital for neck and spinal injuries. The man narrowly missed landing in water or on large rocks 3 feet away in both directions, they said. Peck emphasized the man was “very lucky” because the accident could have been far worse.
"Howard County Police say a Columbia man who fell down a steep hillside and became pinned under a lawnmower has died. He was mowing the grass at a commercial property. Police believe he fell down a steep embankment after losing control of the riding lawnmower.
“We know that in a perfect world, everyone would mow on flat level ground. Unfortunately, this is not a perfect world and commercial Zero Turn Mower operators often times finding themselves mowing on hillsides with slopes greater than manufacturer recommendations.”

“This is an amazing idea! Unfortunately, I knew a buddy who slid on a zero-turn mower into a lake after rolling over an embankment wall. I am appreciative that you came up with this idea finally.”

“Your project is extremely important! This past weekend, my wife had a relative to die from a zero turn accident where the mower could not be stopped as it slipped and went down a hill. Thanks.”

“I think this is a great concept and if the big boys (exmark, bobcat, toro, hustler etc...) are watching, this is a new way to sell a z. Take notice. ”

“I really like the looks of it, nice job. I for one, don' t want to push the hilly terrain with a ztr, but reailty is, either myself or a worker will sooner or later. I live on a lake, and we've talked about getting a ztr too close to the bank/edge.
Nice job with the design and implementation. ”
